Konstantin Somow

Konstantin Somov ( Константин Андреевич Сомов, Petersburg, November 30, 1869 – Paris, May 6, 1939 )
Męskie ciała malował nadzmysłowo, w samym patrzeniu zawiera się czysty erotyzm. Jakby hipnotyzowały go podczas pracy, fascynowały, podniecały. Gdy patrzę na boksera, łapię się na pewnej niezręczności patrzenia, wstydliwości oglądania męskiego ciała. Kobiety traktuje czule, jest tam miękkość  i delikatność światła, ładunek emocjonalny w nich zawarty można porównać z Pocałunkami Klimta bądż Rodina.

Male bodies he painted sursensually, even the only watching includes pure erotism. Like he was mesmerized by them during his work, they fascinated and excited him. When i look at the Boxer, i catch myself on some clumsiness of watching, modesty of watching male body. Women are treated by him fondly, there is a softness and fragility of light,  emotional charge which is inside may be compared with  Kisses of Klimt and Rodin.
